Enhanced Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of Accumulative Roll-Bonded Co/Pb Nanocomposite

Lead composites have been used as anodes in the electrowinning process to produce metals such copper and zinc. Manufacturing stable lead with appropriate mechanical chemical properties is required improve performance of process. In this study, an accumulative roll bonding (ARB) method was fabricate a Co/Pb nanocomposite. Utilizing ARB can help us achieve uniform structure enhanced via severe plastic deformation. The results showed that suitable tensile were obtained Pb–0.5%Co–10pass samples. strength strain these samples 2.51 times higher 83.7% lower than as-cast pure Pb. They also creep resistance hardness up 1.8 2.5 more technique uniformly distributed Co particles Pb matrix. observed composite including grain sizes less 50 nm result hindering recovery phenomenon. particle size matrix 353 ± 259 nm. Compared conventional methods, improved open new horizon fabricating metal industries.
